Highlands Talent Showcase: Highlands Best Dance Crew 2

The HBDC2 was totally insane! This year's competition took place on February 4, 2010 during lunch at the Gym. We also had a special performance from a Pearl City High School crew who showed their stuff while the judges tallied up the scores. We were fortunate enough to have three of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Dancers here to judge the competition once again. K.A.C. ended up taking all the fame and they are now crowned Highlands Best Dance Crew. K.A.C are Diamond Briscoe, Chloe Baron, Katherine Helekahi, Hunter Meyers, Drake Dinong, Daniel Snerling.

7th graders look forward to next year. 8th graders, too bad we won't be able to enjoy the excitement next year but we made the best of it while we were here at Highlands Intermediate.

Highlands Talent Showcase: Highlands Idol

Highlands Idol was a wonderful experience.  It took place February 3, 2010 at the PE Courtyard.  There were so many great singers, some say even better than last year's.  The first place winners were Danielle Sarajina and Tialei Tautalatasi.  Their song "______" kept the crowd hype and the judges nodding their heads in approval from beginning to end.  For taking 1st place Danielle and Tialei won a Pizza Party, brilliant trophies and hi-fives and hugs from all their friends. 

All the singers were unbelievably good which bodes well for the competition next year.  We hope everyone enjoyed the contest and loved all the great music.  Thanks to all the great competitors and the crowd for being so supportive.
