2nd Annual Rock Band Tournament

This year's Rock Band Tourney winners should have sung Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" as an encore after the dust had settled from the championship round.  Toasty Mantis -- Christian, Alexis, Zachary, and Andrew -- took out last year's champs, Inasanity, to become the 2012 Rock Band Champs!  Congratulations also goes out to 3rd place finishers Pandas Eating Pandas for rocking so hard!  The SG Room was transformed into a concert venue where "if it was too loud, then that meant you were simply too old."  The amps were turned up and students rocked out to some legendary tunes and some modern ones too.  We'd like to thank the Gods of Rock for bestowing such an epic event upon us and we can now take out our earplugs and return to class ;)

4th Annual Rubik's Cube Tournament

On April 27th, Highlands held it's annual Highlands Rubik's Cube Tournament.  After the prelimnary round in the SG Room, only four students moved on to the final round in front of the whole school.  The action was fast and furious and we had a new champion in no time at all!  Congratulations to Kylie, our new Highlands Rubik's Cube Champion!!!

1st place - Kylie 1 min 42 sec (Na Koa -- 100 spirit points)
2nd place - Royce 1 min 50 sec (Na Koa -- 80 spirit points)
3rd place - Kenny 1 min 54 sec (Fantastic 4 -- 60 spirit points)

Intramural Sports

The intramural sports program involves all 8 teams at Highlands in a highly competitive, yet really fun environment.  From 1st Quarter Dodgeball! to 2nd Quarter Team Volleyball Challenge to 3rd Quarter 3on3 Bball to the ultimate 4th Quarter "May Madness" Team Basketball Tourney, we've got it all!
