Ghouls, ghosts, goblins and Barrack Obama's took over Highlands Intermediate to celebrate the most spooktacular day of the entire year -- Halloween! Teachers greeted student aliens, fairies, both angels and devils with cauldrons of candy before the start of the school day. Students begged the question, why can't we "Trick or Treat" every morning? Now, wouldn't that be "sweet?"
After much anticipation, lunch hour finally came and it was time for our annual Highlands Halloween Costume Contest. Due to Furlough Fridays this year's Halloween Assembly had to be cut short so there was no "Mummy Wrap n' Race" this time. We want to thank all the contestants for coming out in force once again and dressing up in some really fun costumes. Also, much thanks to this year's judges for making the tough decisions as to who would emerge as best in costume. The results are posted below:

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success! We can't wait until Halloween comes around again...one year is just too long to wait. Well, at least we have these great pictures to look at until we can say Trick or Treat once again.
