Highlands proudly welcomes the newest member of the family -- the Multi-Material Recycling Bin! We could hardly "contain" the good news for very long as the bin made his presence know right away in between the Music Building and the cafeteria. Multi-Material Recycling Bins accept aluminum, glass, plastic containers (with #1 and #2 plastic codes), newspaper, corrugated cardboard, white and colored office paper. The entire school will now have a proper place to recycle and the community is invited to recycle Mondays - Fridays during normal school hours, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Highlands is always looking for new and innovative ways to "Go Green!" and the new Multi-Material Recycling Bin will be a huge step in that direction.
