A big congratulation goes out to this year's graduating 8th graders! You have made it intermediate school and now are moving on to high school. The 2016 Banquet was held at the FILCOM Ballroom in Waipahu. The ballroom looked stunning as did the students in the Black & White theme. Not only were the decorations amazing, so was the food. Creations in Catering provided us with delicious kalua pig, teriyaki chicken, fried noodles and more. Along with the delicious food, there were a wide range of activities. From dancing to to basketball to video games everybody had something to do. Other activities also included the candy bar, photo booth, and the talent show. The talent show was a success due to all of the performers: Rica, Jeiley, Darlene, Tehana, Lupe, Angela, Daiza, Halee and Anisa. We want to thank the teachers, 8th Grade Council, and other staff members for their help on planning, setting up, and hosting this memorable event. This would not have been possible without our sponsors: L&L Pearl City, Big City Diner, Times Supermarket, Town & Country Surf, Mrs. Ishii, and the SMC Ohana. Best of luck to all the 8th graders! No matter where you go Highlands will always be home to you. Once a colt always a Colt. Jaeda, 8th Grade VP
