On October 12th, Student Government planned and ran Quarter 1 Student Council Bonding: Stranger Things, a theme meant to prepare us for the Haunted House to come. During this activity, Student Council members had the opportunity to strengthen their friendships with each other, get into the spirit of Halloween, and more! To start off, they did their StuCo dance and cheers, which is the foundation of Student Council: Leading and uniting students! Afterwards, they spent quality time with one another by playing Swords and Shields and listening to the ghost stories of our school. These activities allowed them to learn more about one another. Not only did they learn more about each other, but they learned more about the ghost stories right here at Highlands! Ooooohhhh spookyyyyy! Finally, they looked deeper into the wonders of Stranger Things, the theme of Highlands Haunted House 9. At the end of this day, they came out different than how they came in: stronger bonds with each other, familiar with the foundation of Student Council, and a little scared of our campus history. Overall, Q1 StuCo Bonding: Stranger Things was an amazing way to end Quarter 1 and to welcome Quarter 2! Isabella, Student Government President
