Winter Dance 2025 "Frozen"

This year, the Highlands Intermediate Student Council created an AMAZING Winter Dance to be remembered! The Winter Dance 2024 “Frozen” included dozens of games, food, drinks, sweets and even a 360 photo booth from SugerHI Rentals! The Cafeteria was glowing with even more games, including Glow Air Hockey, Glow Golf, Glow Bowling, the Frozen Song Request Booth and the Glow Store. There was hype music, and LOTS and LOTS of dancing! Student Council’s hard work and dedication REALLY paid off and was there was so much Christmas excitement and tons of fun for everyone!!! Christmas Spirit Week 2024: White Christmas Snowball Fight!

Can you think of a better way to start the Winter season than with a snowball fight?! The Athletics Committee hosted a fun-filled event for a white-out day dress up. The seven teams competed against each other in the Student Council Room on Wednesday 12/18 @ Lunch. All teams were armed with inflatable candy canes and palm trees and most importantly, a lot of snowballs! The energy in the air was electric, with laughter throughout the room as snowballs and palm trees being thrown everywhere! It was a memorable, light-hearted event that brought students and teachers together to embrace school spirit – without the cold ;)  Amelia Sanchez, Athletics Committee

Christmas Spirit Week 2024: Ugly Christmas Sweater Photo Booth

The holiday season has arrived and the weather has been getting a little chillier day by day, hasn’t it? To help keep everyone nice and warm, the Assembly Committee hosted the Ugly Christmas Sweater Photo Booth at the Student Council Room for students to dress up and show off their favorite ugly sweater with their besties! With Christmas music blasting loudly everyone hammed it up in front of the camera and they were rewarded with prizes for everyone who participated. It was so fun to see everyone’s funny poses in their ugly sweaters ;) This activity was the absolute perfect way to capture the moment of this special holiday season and also spend time with those they love. - Lyric Esperanza , Assembly Committee

Christmas Spirit Week 2024: Baby, It's Cozy Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar

Tis’ the session, right?! What a jolly way to start off Highlands Christmas Spirit Week 2025 than with a warm cup of hot chocolate! 8th Grade Council ran a Hot Cocoa Bar, that was a complete banger! All students who came to school in their PJ got the opportunity to go down to the StuCo Room during their grade level Lunch to claim a free cup of hot chocolate on us! With a warm welcome and seeing tubs of hot chocolate and whipped cream, they all knew they were in for big treat ;) .But that’s not all, they also received 5 spirit points for their Team just for getting in the “spirit” of the holidays.
