Who could've ask for more...better?...for anything more spectacular than this year's BigBangBlowout of a fond farewell?!? The last day of the 2010-11 school year screamed across the finish line like a champ and we -- all students, teachers, faculty and staff -- came out unanimous winners! The day started off with the ritual 8th Grade Walk which led directly to the much-anticipated Farewell Assembly. Just as we had begun the year, we ended it all together in the Gym, 8 teams united as single school to bid farewell to the best year ever! After some awesome student vs. teacher dodgeball and basketball (floaties and shudder shades included for added flair!) the event morphed into the annual Highlands Hoolaulea where Mr. Takemura's Ukulele combos strummed and sung all the hits and Mrs. Kuheana's Na Keiki o Waimano Halau swayed hula, haka and tahitian for all to see. And if that wasn't enough, to end the day we hugged, said our goodbyes, and danced our butts off at the Farewell Dance. Thanks to Sandbar Entertainment we once again bore witness to the awesomeness of watching music videos and dancing all at once! The Mobile Gamer Guy crew once again represented and added depth and even more color to this already rawkin' party. It was sad to say our final goodbyes but at least we made it a memorable event and did it in our own style.
