Highlands Lion Dance Club Chinese New Year Performance
Gung Hee Fat Choy! The Highlands Lion Dance Club not only put on a spectacular Chinese New Year performance for the entire school at lunch, but this year decided to also take the show on the road! This performance featured two lions this year and started taking Li See offerings (red envelopes) for good luck in the Front Office. The Lions then made their way across K Building and C Building to their ultimate destination -- the PE Courtyard -- where they put on a dazzling display of skill and dexterity in making the bigger red and smaller black lions come alive! After the finale, the Highlands Lion Dance Club travelled down the road to our smaller neighbors at Pearl City Highlands Elementary School. The PCHES teachers and students were all abuzz as soon as the club hit campus and the place went absolutely bananas throughout the 1/2 long presentation and performance. The Highlands Lion Dance Club looks forward to going on tour and taking the show to all area Pearl City elementary schools next year!
