Love was indeed in the air this Valentine's Day, but no place spreads the love better than Highlands Intermediate. This year was nothing short of special! On February 14, the entire student body was all warm and fuzzy at this year's
"Love is in the Air" Valentine's Dance held at the
PE Courtyard during an extended lunch period. Students galore lit up the dance in their red, pink and Valentine's-themed shirts. Not only was there a
giant dance canopy setup from Hawaii Tents & Events but we also brought back by popular demand the
Teacher Dunk Booth! Students lined up to get their shot at dunking the most "popular" teachers on campus:
Mr. Holskil,
Mrs. Fonoti,
Mr. Arios,
Mr. Takemura, and even
Mr. White! A new activity at the dance was the
giant inflatable castle from AnB Party Rentals. Still not impressed? Well, there was also 3 more fun activities for the students to participate in, all run by students:
Valentine's Store,
Win My Heart game, and
Vote for the Valentine's King and Queen!
45 minutes absolutely wasn't enough time to get to see and do everything at this year's "Love is in the Air" Valentine's Day Dance. Well, we'll at least have one whole year to ponder and dream of all the great things that will happen at next year's event. Topping this one will be hard but I'm sure Mr. White will find a way ;)
