Highlands Farewell Assembly & Ho'olaule'a
The end of the school year spells good bye to our awesome 8th graders and sadly, some teachers too. At this year's Farewell Assembly we hugged and cried and came together as an entire school one last time. We'll miss you so much Ms. Barnes, Ms. Weeks, and Ms. Witherow! Best of luck in your future endeavors and always remember that Highlands will be here for you! We also gave away awards to outstanding students and also announced that Team Fantastic 4 was yet again this year's most spirited team! Congratulations on retaining the Highlands Spirit Cup! After the Assembly the 8th Graders took one last stroll around campus on their traditional 8th Grade Walk as the 7th Graders remained in the Gym for their 7th Grade Crossover Ceremony. The middle of the day was filled with amazing Polynesian singing and dancing during our annual Highlands Ho'olaule'a, dedicated to the teachers leaving us and the 8th Graders as well. This year's Ho'olaule'a special guests -- a surprise for all the students -- was the legendary, Kapena!!! To top it all off we ended the day with the Farewell Dance. What a special day it was full of farewells and fond memories....we'll miss you and have a great summer!
