The Highlands Intermediate Lion Dance Club was back in action after a 2 year hiatus -- and the wait was totally worth it! The Year of the Goat was introduced with a BANG -- literally -- as our very own HIS Lion Dance Club shaked and shimmied all over campus starting in the Front Office and ending up in the PE Courtyard for the big finale! The frenzied lion was hungry for money as it gobbled up dollars the students, teachers and staff members "fed it" for good luck. The grand finale was quite a spectacle as the administrators and staff members held out their long bamboo poles with lisee (Chinese red paper envelopes for good luck) dangling from the ends. The Lion always wins and gets all the lisee in the end -- as it should. Gung Hee Fat Choy Highlands!!!
