Elections 2017

Have you heard? The Elections 2017 is over which means we have our new leaders. Students had to go on tallyspace.com to vote for the candidate of what they think is right for the position. The 7th Graders got to vote for upcoming 8th Grade officers while the 8th Grade got to vote for 9th Grade officers at Pearl CIty High School. Candidates got their message out by hanging posters, flyers around the campus for weeks during the Elections Campaign 2017. What a tough competition that was! On February 24, the results were announced live on the intercom to the whole school. Congratulations to the winners and our new Student Council officers for 2017-18 sy!! Don’t forget even if you didn’t win, you are still winners in our eyes ;) Once again, Congratulations!!   Errol, 8th Grade President

Valentine's Day Door Decorating Contest 2017

Great job to all the Homerooms for spreading Valentine’s love and spirit all across campus the past couple of weeks!  Cupid is for sure coming to Highlands this year because of all of your hard work ;)  Every Homeroom earned 10 spirit points just for participating….Now, here are the winners of the 2017 Valentine’s Door Decorating Contest:

Valentine's Day Dance "Beauty & The Beast" Photo Booth

Valentine's Day Dance 2017 "Beauty & The Beast"

Love is in the air all across Highlands! On Tuesday, Feb. 14, we held our annual dance, in honor of Valentine's Day. There were many activities in this year’s theme, “Beauty and The Beast” such as Valentine's Grams, Valentine’s King and Queen Voting Booth, Gaston’s Arm Wrestling, Gaston’s Archery Range, Teacher Dunking Booth, “Beauty and The Beast” Photo Booth, Beast Basketball!, Balloon Productions, the Beast Balloon Drop and our very own student DJ’s! Students danced and played all throughout an extended lunch and all had an amazing time! Word on the street is students are already anticipating next year's Valentine's Dance!  That maybe a year away but the memories from this year’s dance will not fade quickly… Ahnjeli, Dance Co-Chair

Valentine's Grams 2017

It's that time of year again. Love is in the air and couples are forming. So what's better to get that special someone than a Valentines Gram?!? On February 9th and 10th the HIS Student Council held a Valentine’s Grams Lunch Booth at the Library Courtyard during recess and lunch. The students got to choose from roses, honey grams, or meme cards to send to their special someone or friends. Our student council then made the orders and raced to deliver them on Valentine's Day. When the items were delivered the looks of shock and smiles were the best part of the day ;) Kiley, SG Treasurer
