With Tafiti towering over us one side and Uku and Lele on the other -- the Pearl City District Park gym was the perfect setting for our last day of school! The Highland’s Ho’olaule’a was the last assembly of the year and a truly amazing way to end the 2016-17 school year! All students gathered in the gym, seated by teams, then were amazed by some truly astounding performances by our very own Highlands students and the Pearl City High School Polynesian Club! It was filled with Hawaiian Hulas, Tahitian, Micronesian and Samoan dances. There were also several singing and an ukulele performances as well to round it out. To conclude our annual event, a heart-warming Farewell video was displayed. It brought back so many memories for students and teachers alike, showing all of the things we've done the past year and hopes for the future. Highlands Ho’olaule’a has truly been a wonderful way to say farewell and these memories will never be forgotten... Jaylyn, Dance Committee
