Atten Hut! As a part of our National Student Leadership Week 2017 (#NSLW2017), the Dance Committee was tasked with creating something for the betterment of our world. NSLW 2017 is being celebrated April 16-22 this year and the theme is "Making a World of Difference," focusing on global citizenship. The Dance Committee researched and thought carefully and developed a care package drive, named “Sending To Our Soldiers”! The rationale for the service project was to help support our troops fighting for our freedoms in battlefields and hotspots all over the world. We could accomplish this by hosting a drive for awesome snacks, candy, dry goods, games, toys, and any other item that could help make a soldier’s life a little more comfortable. For 2 weeks, tons of donations came rolling in from all over campus, and it couldn’t have turned out better! In all, we collected quite an assortment of donations totaling nearly 100 lbs! In honor of Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 20, 2017, the donations will be shipped out to soldiers in war zones all across the world.
