From Pearl City all the way to the Blaisdell Center, two of Highlands very own Student Council members (Bianca and Jadee) along with Highlands StuCo Alumni (Noelani and Cade) presented at the Leadership Symposium 2017: “The Art of Leadership”! The symposium is a partnership between the Office of the Superintendent, the Office of Human Resources, and the Office of Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Support, and is endorsed by the Hawaii Association of Secondary School Administrators and the Hawaii Elementary and Middle Schools Administrator Association. This 1 hour 15 minute presentation gave others an insight into our award-winning student activities program and how other schools can replicate activities or whole systems into their own schools. The powerful aspect of the presentation was in the research, data, and evidence that demonstrated why student activities are not only good for the students, but the whole school and the community as well.
