This year, Highlands Intermediate worked hard to raise hundreds of cans to donate to the Hawaii Food Bank, providing food to families in need during the Thanksgiving season. The canned food drive took place from October 24 through November 17. The competition was fierce this year as the seven teams tried to bring the most cans to win a ton of spirit points. Students turned in their donations to their homerooms and submitted them to the Student Council room on November 17 to be counted. It’s not hard to imagine seeing the joy on the faces of the recipients of those cans and we’re so happy to have helped in that procuring that wonderful experience. Taylor, 8th Grade Class President
