Where were
you November 15, 2012? It seemed like the entire school was at Highlands
Best Dance Crew '12 (HBDC) competition in the P.E courtyard at lunch! HBDC
is a competition to find out who is the best dance crew at Highlands
Intermediate each year. All the crews performed for the chance to compete
and represent Highlands at the upcoming Waipahu Intermediate Dance Battle
against all the other dance crews in the district on Friday, 12/13/12.
Our special
guests for this year's competition were POWER 104.3 FM's Micah Banks and DJ
Krazy K and also Ashley and Danielle from Pearl City High School who performed
a dance routine and also helped to judge the competition! There
were three dance crews that performed this year: Six Aces, The Rascals and
West Side Motivators. All the groups were amazing but only one could win it
all! In third place we had the West Side Motivators second place Six Aces
and last but, not least the winners The Rascals! We would like to thank
our emcee, all the judges (Mr. Mathakul, Mr. O, Mr. Takemura, Ashley and
Danielle) and the 2012 1st semester Leadership Class for all the preparations
but, most of all Mr. White for all of his hard work and effort into HBDC '12.
Thank you! If you didn't get to see or participate in the
competition this year that's too bad but don't worry...7th graders you can look
forward to next year, so keep practicing and we hope to see you then!
