Super Turkey Trot & Thanksgiving Assembly

With just a day before Thanksgiving we celebrated the joy of Thanksgiving with our totally awesome annual Turkey Trot and Thanksgiving Assembly at the gym!  “Gobble Gobble! Super Turkey to the rescue!” All eight teams gave it their best as they wore their super turkey helmets, mask, and cape. They took down several obstacles which included going through a ring of fire, taking down a villain, diffusing a bomb, and so much more! After all the students completed the obstacle course it was time for the Teacher Turkey Trot! In the end, we had the homerooms with the highest score compete in the exciting final championship heat.  Here are the results:

After the Super Turkey Trot '12, the school gathered once again in the gym for the Thanksgiving Assembly. Our special guests were Impact 808 who did a "smashing" job in destroying things that we had though to be impossible! It taught us that if you believe you can do it, and you have the support people, you can achieve anything. To finish off this assembly, they had given us an inspirational speech, “be thankful for what you have and don’t take things for granted, always remember that there are worse situations out there.” Happy Thanksgiving!
