For
the eighth graders, their second-to-the-last day of school was a
memorable one for them! The banquet itself was dazzling with its fancy
location and its surreal scenery that was perfect for pictures. The
Ko'olau Ballroom was nicely decorated to fit the theme, "Starry Night."
Nice and low lighting, candles to make the atmosphere sophisticated, and
star balloons and streamers to make it fun and happy! The food, oh my
gosh the food!! Lunch was a delicious buffet with meals that were so
good people went back for seconds! The desserts there were so sweet and
yummy! My personal favorite was the bread pudding... But what was so
memorable was how it made everyone feel. Everyone made sure to have fun
with their best friends and capture the moment in the photo booth or a
picture that was taken professionally with the valley as the beautiful
background. Lots of people met up with friends and went to the
dance floor, having no shame what others thought since they were having
so much fun spending time with each other. This was a great day for
people to have real memorable moments with their friends that were going
separate ways to high school. Everyone had something to do with one
another whether it was dancing, gaming, eating candy, or just talking
and absorbing all what was happening at that time. Students knew that
the banquet meant that they will soon be graduating from intermediate
school and heading off to high school, becoming older and making
memories as they go. Thank you 8th Grade Council for making this a huge
success and putting all your effort into the banquet!! We will miss
Highlands, but we'll come back to remember the great times we've had
here. Thank you for all that you've done for us!
