Highlands Ho'olaule'a 2016 "I Lav-a You!"
ITS FINALLY THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL AND EVERYONE HAS BEEN ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THIS DAY TO COME! According to Highlands tradition, we hold a Ho’olaule’a -- a special gathering of Polynesian music, dancing, and singning -- on the last day of school to help us celebrate and remind us all of just how good we had it this year. The gym was packed with fun and exciting entertainment from Highlands and Pearl City High School students. We had Hawaiian, Samoan, and Tahitian dancers along with select ukulele combos from Mr. Takemura’s Ukulele classes. To close it out we played the Farewell Video showcasing students and a teachers from each team reminiscing on the past year. We couldn’t think of a better way to say goodbye to an amazing school year than our Highlands Ho’olaule’a! Laura, Dance Committee Chairperson
