Have you noticed something different about our campus lately? On April 14th, The Highlands Student Council and staff members joined forces with Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce for our annual Campus Beautification Day. Our administration, spearheaded by Mr. Battad, worked with the HJJCC and several community businesses to help sponsor all the materials: paints, brushes, cleaning products, trash bags, and lots and lots of food! The HJJCC, HIS Admin, Teachers, Students and our very own Student Council worked throughout the morning and into the late afternoon to give our old school a make over! Helpers scoured the campus picking up trash and disposing of old materials. Also the walls and stairs were painted purple to fill our campus with our school colors creating more Highlands pride! The words: Creative, Optimistic, Loyal, Tenacious are written on our stairs campus wide to remind us all that we are COLTS! You can still help us make are campus more beautiful by picking up trash left on the ground or just throwing your trash away properly every day throughout the school year. By doing this you can make every day Campus Beautification Day ;) Special thanks to all those who helped out on April 14th on our Campus Beautification Day 2018!!! Kaydy, Dance Committee
