“This was so much fun! I don’t want to leave!”, were the words parting the lips of every Student Council member that attended SLC 2018. The Student Leadership Conference was held at the Hawaii Convention Center from June 13-15 while students and advisers dormed at UH Manoa’s Frear Hall. The experience can only be described as awesome, amazing, stunning and unbelievably creative! With the theme of “Our World, Our Stories,” participants got to share their own stories and see how our stories are the same and sometimes different. We met A TON of new people and learned many new icebreakers, energizers and some cool cheers. We also learned about different types of leadership styles and the different roles in a team. Everything was amazing, from the rooms themed for the different countries to the attitude of everyone there. To summarize, SLC 2018 was a totally epic experience to teach us useful strategies and skills and an awesome way to start the 2018-2019 school year. Thalia, SG Vice-President
