“HEY, HEY YOU, WELCOME TO HIS! HEY, HEY YOU....” The Highlands Leadership Conference gathered all 8 Pearl City Complex Elementary Schools for a full day of activities, team bonding, and leadership development. The day began with the entirety of our Highlands Student Council outside cheering our hearts out to welcome the incoming 6th Grade Student Councils to our room! The goal of the leadership conference was to set an example and define what a leader is, how to contribute to their individual student councils, and teach them some ways to make school a more fun and interesting place to be. Throughout the day we taught them lessons we’ve learned throughout our time in Student Council and ran them through some of our most favorite icebreakers and energizers! A bonus to this conference was the chance to build a stronger relationship with all of the elementary schools advisors and student council members. To end the conference, we had left them with a vision, the goals our very own HIS Student Council attempts to reach and the standard we work at and how they should always try to work at a level above what others expect. This was such a spectacular event to take part in and will be a memory for all of us to cherish. Chase, 8th Grade President
