After years without this fun tradition, Fun Friday is coming back! On April 28, 2022, Highlands Intermediate hosted the Return of Fun Friday! If you don't remember what Fun Friday is, it's quick and easy activities in the P.E. courtyard for students who need a break from the stress of school. This time, we didn’t skimp! We had our best games out for students everywhere to participate in: Sword Duel, Basketball Shootout, Connect4 Blast, Skee-Ball, Giant Jenga, and Cup Stack! Each game was designed to be played in a minute or less, so everyone had time to play! As different teams competed for spirit points, you could see smiles on every student's face. One activity that was a HUGE hit was Sword Duel, especially for the 7th graders who had an energetic crowd circling duelists as they fought for glory! Mrs. Ka’ana’ana, a teacher from Team Alaka’i, even got into the game too! And just before the bell rang, she emerged victorious with her pool noodle raised high! Still, each game was incredible and held long lines of students waiting to play! Each had it’s own allure, and each brought joy to all who played it. For students, the return of Fun Friday was a welcome relief. Aiesha, Spirit Commitee
