8th Grade Banquet 2023

“It’s Hollywood, baby!” The long awaited 8th grade banquet took place at the Japanese Cultural Center for the first time. The banquet was for all Highlands Intermediate 8th graders to kind of end the school year with a big and memorable celebration for finishing 8th grade and all the hard work they have put into their 8th grade years. A big thank you to Mr. Torres and his team of students for their creativity and help with designing the centerpieces, to Mrs. Martinson and Mrs. Yoshimura for enabling the 8th grade council to hold a banquet outside campus for the first time ever since covid , Kamehameha High School for donations, Student Council for helping set up the banquet and their hard throughout the school year from dances to spirit weeks, Highlands Intermediate teachers for all input, support, and helping Mrs. Fermin plan the banquet, 8th grade council for planning and making the banquet happen and last but not the least, Mrs. Fermin for planning, directing, working with the 8th grade council for the 8th grade banquet ever since the beginning of the school year! The 8th grade banquet was the way to make a bunch of memories with friends and teachers of the Highlands Intermediate before starting a new chapter in life (high school).  Jazmine, 8th Grade Vice-President
