Transitioneers! @ Disney Aulani 2025
Four of our student leaders—Herbi, Ashlynn, Emmalia, and Solomon—joined Mr. White at the Aulani Resort for the Middle Level Leadership Summit. This special event brought Student Councils from across Hawaii together to collaborate, network, and share ideas. Building Connections - The day kicked off with an interactive scavenger hunt where students had to find peers from other schools and learn facts about them. This icebreaker set the stage for the day’s focus: how to keep students engaged and active in school culture. Sharing Ideas & Solutions - After a delicious lunch provided by the resort, our team worked together to identify the strengths and challenges at Highlands Intermediate. We then joined small circles with students from other schools to compare notes. It was insightful to see that many schools face similar challenges, and we were able to exchange valuable solutions. Sweet Endings - The day concluded with a special treat—a Mickey Mouse-shaped dessert!—and a final chance to exchange contact information with new friends and reconnect with old ones from seventh grade. The team left inspired and ready to bring new ideas back to Highlands. Emmalia Tuagalu, 8th Grade Vice-President
