Highlands Haunted House 13 "It!" Crew: Actors, Guides, Special FX

Haunted House 13: “It” officially kicked off our Halloween season, and it was all thanks to the incredible dedication of the Highlands Student Council. Behind the screams were brave guides leading the way, terrifying actors, and a special effects crew working tirelessly behind the scenes. Our cast brought the nightmare to life, featuring Pennywise, the missing children, creepy dolls, and even Georgie. Every air gun blast, jump scare, and chilling sound effect was expertly handled by our student leaders. A special thank you to Mr. Weeks for his amazing work transforming the StuCo room into the haunting sewers of Derry, Maine. We also want to thank Mr. White for his supervision and for making this event possible. Finally, a huge shout-out to the 500+ students, families, and staff of Highlands Intermediate for having the courage to venture into the sewers with us! 🎈🤡  Ashlynn Peralta, Student Government President

Highlands Haunted House 12 "Ravenloft" Guides, Actors, Special FX

This year marked our 12 event and it was a banger! Student Council ran the Highlands Haunted House 12 for 1 whole week right before Halloween. Each Student Council member got to chose their role as either an Actor, Special FX or Guide. Guests were grouped into fours in the order of either Knight, Rouge, Ranger or Wizard character. The way ahead was dark and thankfully our Guides were clever enough to bring "torches" to help guide their groups safely through the haunt. Each character was called upon to use their special abilities in order to conquer each challenge presented to the group until they ultimately found themselves face to face with the lord of Castle Ravenloft, Strahd von Zarovich! Now trapped, the group had to use everything they had in order to survive and live to tell the tale... Huge thanks to our amazing Actors, Guides, and Special FX crew for making our haunt interactive, interesting, and oh so memorable! Highlands Haunted House 10 Groups: Guides, Actors, Special Effects

To keep the Highlands tradition for Halloween, we hosted our annual 3d blacklight haunted attraction - Highlands Haunted House 10 “The Escape From Azkaban!” For a whole week straight, we had student council members run the haunted house with the help of some very talented friends! Thanks to everyone involved, HHH10 was a huge success and made so many unforgettable memories for both the guests and us, the actors!  Each Student Council member was assigned a role as either Guides, Actors or Special Effects. The experience all started outside at the Ticket Booth where students were put into groups of four and paired a wizard Guide!  First stop in the journey was the infamous Diagon Alley, full of wonder and magic in every corner!  While in the Weasley’s Wizard Whizzes shop, guests were arrested by the agents from the Ministry of Magic for “Improper Use of Magic”... with that they all earned a one way trip to the legendary and awful Prison of Azkaban!!!  Thank goodness that each of our guides are smart and skilled, that each group was able to escape with their lives and quite a story to tell in the end.  We hope you enjoyed this year’s haunted attraction and we hope also hear your screams again next year!  Bwahahahahahaha….
