Highlands Haunted House 6: Cast, Crew, Crowd!

Cast! Crew! Crowd! These things were certainly the most amazing parts of our Highlands Haunted House 6! Our great cast consisted of guides going through the haunt, the monsters, the Sacrifice, and our awesome cult members! The crew worked behind the scenes to make our haunted house the best! The crew worked all the special effects like the air guns, the sound effects, animatronics, and even the Great Cthulhu! Lastly, was the crowd... The student council room was certainly the place to be this Halloween! The crowds consisted of several hundred students from all seven Teams -- and they were soooooo excited to be get scared!

Highlands Haunted House 6 was all about frights (and fun), however, work comes before play. Doing all the heavy lifting was Ms. Fonoti and the LC class. They put of the walls and extended our haunt this year with the HH6 Shooting Gallery. Thanks to Mr. Weeks who painted all the amazing 3D walls! Thanks also to Mr. Tamaye for wiring and lighting the entire haunt and also for taking all those shots of students getting spooked! Lastly, all of this couldn't have been done by Mr. White who planned the activity and supervised all of us! Highlands Haunted House 6: "The Call of Cthulhu!"

Highlands Haunted House 6: “ The Call of Cthulhu!” was definitely Highland’s BEST haunted house yet!  It was the end of our haunted house trilogy which started with 2015’s HH4: “The Curse of the Witch Doll”, then 2016’s HH5: “The Thing That Should Not Be!” and culminating with this year’s HH6: “The Call of Cthulhu!”  This year’s haunt was a success as evidenced with the many screams of both terror and fun! The Highlands Student Council planned this epic 4 day haunt where on each day, two teams braved the deep, dark dungeons below the Student Council Room! At least there were Guides who took our guests into the dark and kept them safe...at least, TRIED to keep them safe from the great Cthulhu, a gigantic, fearful Beast whose cult members were everywhere trying to wake him, to make him live again! Zombies and shadows also followed you in the dark, prisoners screamed for help, and then, the giant demon appeared amongst the tombs, crypts and graves! And if that wasn’t enough, there ultimately was the great Cthulhu that attacked you as you desperately tried to make your escape!  A lot of effort was put into this year’s haunted house and it really paid off… Special thank you to Mr.Weeks for the amazing artwork! Big shout out to Mrs. Fonoti and the LC Class too! On top of that, the HH6 hosted a cast and crew of over 30 Student Council members and some friends!!! From a normal classroom, to blank vinyl walls, and then an unforgettable haunted house experience -- this year’s haunt showcased all the talent Highlands has to offer and was an amazing experience to get us ready for Halloween!  Bianca, Tricia, Skyla, Brandie -- Student Government

Highlands Haunted House 5 Cast & Crew

Nearly 600 students, teachers and staff members braved this year's HH5: "The Thing That Should Not Be!" It takes a little army to pull off a haunt like this and I'd like to personally thank all 33 HH5 crew members for putting on our best haunt yet!  As Guides, Cult Members, Shadows, Ghosts, Tentacle Operators, Animatronic Operators, Coffin Shakers, Airzooka and Air Cannon specialists -- job well done! Highlands Haunted House 5 Best Scares

Let’s set the scene…. The instant you step into the haunted house students scream and jump back as they encounter the burning Witch from the finale of last year’s haunt...the one you previously escaped from... the one that is here, now, for YOU!!! . You want to immediately run away but you can’t -- you have no choice but to go through the entire haunt, in the dark, with only your Guide to lead the way. You scramble below the witches’ lair into the sewers and further into the catacombs to get away! It is then you stumble upon a ritual sacrifice -- a young, innocent girl screaming for help! Could this be the old Witch’s daughter? You have no time to think... You hurry past coffins shaking, pleading you for help, and then... the Shadows come.  They just appear out of seemingly nowhere, just standing, watching, waiting, whispering... And finally, after you’ve made it this far, you see the cave entrance only to encounter “The Thing That Should Not Be!”, the great Cthulhu!!! His tentacles flail and lash out at you as you try to escape to the tunnel on the other side of the cliff, to safety, to school, to our beloved Highlands Intermediate!
