Kona Low Relief Fundraiser 2026

This year, Highlands Intermediate School brought the community together with an exciting event—the Kona Low Relief Fundraiser 2026. Held during lunchtime, this spirited competition aimed to raise funds for the North Shore side of Oahu, an area in need of support and relief. The event featured a lively battle among our seven student teams, each wanting to win the top spot in the fundraiser. Students eagerly gathered around jars representing their teams, ready to show their school spirit. The twist? The game was both competitive and strategic. Coins placed into a team’s jar earned positive points, encouraging students to contribute generously to their own team. But there was a catch — students could also place dollars into opposing teams’ jars, which deducted points from that team’s total.Throughout the lunch period, the air was filled with excitement and friendly rivalry. Students cheered as their friends added coins, and laughs echoed when dollars found their way into rival jars. It was a fun and engaging way to raise funds, with everyone participating in the challenge to support the North Shore community. In the end, the event successfully brought together students, teachers, and staff in a shared effort to make a difference, raising $3,000. The Kona Low Relief Fundraiser 2026 was more than just a game — it was a powerful reminder of how our school community can come together to support those in need. Love 4 Lahaina Fundraiser

Hey everyone!  Guess what? When Highlands Intermediate students had heard of the devastating fires that happened in Maui, they knew immediately that they needed to do something to help out their community and fellow students. When putting themselves in the shoes of the students on Maui, all of the students rallied together to bring hope and support to those affected. The Service and Spirit committee organized a heartwarming fundraising event(penny race) in mid August, called “Love 4 Lahaina” with the goal of not only raising funds, but also encouraging a sense of unity and healing. The event, held on school grounds, was a demonstration of the compassion and generosity of the students and faculty. Despite the challenges posed by the recent fires, the Love 4 Lahaina fundraiser managed to surpass expectations, raising just over $2000. The funds went towards supporting the affected students and schools on Maui, aiding in the rebuilding process and providing essential resources to the Lahaina community. The success of “Love 4 Lahaina” not only lies in the financial contributions but also in the uplifting spirit it brought to the entire school. The Service and Spirit Committee’s dedication and the enthusiastic participation of the school community showcased the power of collective action and resilience of the students and faculty. As the event concluded, the echoes of laughter, excitement and positive energy lingered in the air. 808 HI-DR8 Fundraiser Distribution

Let's give a huge HANA HOU to this AWESOME fundraiser that supported the student activities program at Highlands this year!  Thanks to all of you students, parents and family friends we raised nearly $6,000 with these fantastic HI-DR8 flasks! Thank you also to HI-DR8 for allowing us the opportunity to provide the students, teachers and staff members of our school with a more exciting and fun learning environment through this fundraiser.  Lastly, this fundraiser provides Highlands Intermediate a big stepp in the right direction for the 2015-16 school year!  Mahalo everyone for your awesome support!!!  Destiny, 8th Grade V.P.
