On the evening of October 3, 2015, the Highlands Intermediate StuCo and some alumni StuCo members met up at Pearl City Highlands Center. Everybody was super stoked for the night that was planned ahead! First up in the to-do list was to visit the Spirit Store and look at all of the costumes and decorations that could be used for our upcoming Highlands Haunted H 4. Let me just tell you -- that store was crazy!! They had costumes, spooky decorations, creepy dolls, masks, and much more! Next up on our list was our annual pilgrimage to the Haunted Plantation in Wahiawa! The council members were broken into small groups as they prepared to enter a house FULL of screams from other people. Inside the haunt you would pass through clowns, ghosts, and demons! We weren’t afraid to admit how scared we were. -- some even said they just closed their eyes and held onto the person in front of them! On the other hand, some people (myself included) were screaming and jumping at every single scare! After the haunted house we got to take a ride on the ghost train, traversing the entire plantation in the dark and with spooky stories. Sadly, the night had to come to an end...a night we shall soon never forget! Jaeda McFarland , 8th Grade Vice-President
