Boy, I'm stuffed! Not from all the food, but from all the fun and especially from the 2010 Turkey Trot! This old Highlands tradition was resurrected and brought back better than ever at our 2010 Thanksgiving Assembly! For the turkey trot, we had an obstacle course consisting of 5 challenges. The Tourist Turkey had the contestants put on an entire outfit that made them look like a tourist. The next was the Skateboard Turkey where contestants had to paddle on a skateboard with a plunger to their next challenge. Next was the Dizzy Turkey challenge where contestants put their head on a baseball bat and spin around 5 times. Next, was the Tile Walk Turkey where contestants used 2 tiles to get across to the next challenge. Finally, the Waddle Turkey had the contestants put a beach ball between their legs and waddle to the end of their relay, where they will tag off with their partners. The partner at the end had to then do the entire course in reverse in order to finish.
This was a great event!! All the teams were super excited and cheered their contestants on all the way! If the turkey trot was the delicious Thanksgiving turkey, then Da Braddahs were definitely the amazing pumpkin pie that went perfectly at the end of the main course. Da Braddahs were a real special treat! They were funny and entertaining and had great a great sense of style!! But most important part of their performance was they delivered a really important message -- "Eh Bully...No Bully!" This was an amazing assembly -- all of it -- and it definitely reminded us of what we have and how thankful we are for it!
