Our school is amazing but even perfect things can be improved. That’s why we have Full Council meetings where students share their point of view to their peers, teachers, and administrators about how we can improve Highlands Intermediate School. At Full Council meetings all Homeroom Representatives gather Student, Team, and School from the students in their Homeorooms. They then bring those concerns to Full Council to first share within their Teams. From there, after everyone shares their concerns, the Teams decide the top 3 concerns for each topic to share with everyone. Teachers and admin are there throughout the process to get a first-hand account of the problems that our school faces. Each Team took turns sharing and everyone listened to what they had to say. Student Government recorded the Concerns and met with Administration later that week to come up with actionable results for all concerns. Each year we strive to be better and to improve our school, so let’s hope that next school year will be even amazing than the last! Ellis, 8th Grade VP
