Welcome Back Colts! You voted for it last year and you got it -- this year’s school theme is "Highlands Intermediate: The Most Magical School on Earth!" The Disney theme was in full effect and we transformed the Gym into Disneyland for one amazing day! We kicked off the annual event with introducing the HIS Student Council 19-20 with a little “Finesse” and we also introduced (and initiated) seven new teachers with som “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X! Everybody was singing and cheering as loud as they could for our new student and staff introductions!!! Before you knew it, the Highlands Spirit Competition kicked off with some extremely entertaining games like Moana’s Canoe Race, Tiana’s Bayou Bounce, Head Shoulders Knees and Mouse!, Tangled! and Disney Kahoot! There were so opportunities to score tons of spirit points for your team! Looking forward to the rest of the school year, I just can’t wait to see all the new games and activities we will be conjuring up!
