Highlands truly “Leveled Up” during Spirit Week 2020! Students were to dress up each day of the week to show their school spirit as well as earn spirit points for their team. This week of fun and spirit was hosted by Highland’s very own Student Council. Monday, 9/28/2020 was “Level Up!” Day. Students and teachers dressed up as characters from a video game. The activity for that day was a Minecraft Tournament. Tuesday, 9/29/2020 was Tik Tok Tuesday. Students and teachers could submit a video of themselves doing the “Stunnin Challenge” on Tik Tok. Wednesday, 9/30/2020. was Wayback Wednesday. You were to dress as if you were from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. Thursday, 10/1/2020 was Thankful Thursday. Dressing up wasn’t necessary for this particular day. However, you were to write a letter to someone you are grateful for. Or even better, film a video about how thankful you are for them. The last day, Friday, 10/2/2020, was COLT Pride Friday. Students would dress up in their school uniforms. If they didn’t have one, they would wear a purple shirt. The lunch activity was a COLT’s Kahoot! to show just how much you know about Highlands. Spirit Week 2020 was a great way to get students involved through distance learning!
