The Highlands Intermediate Halloween Spooky Story and Contest opened to all artists and writers on October 8, running until the end of the month. There were three creepy categories to choose from: Spooky, Pixar, Creative. The art contest, ending on October 19, was full of submissions by talented artists who signed up earned a lot of spirit points for their team. There were so many creative and eerie arts that it was difficult to decide which ones should win. If it was up to me, everyone would win! But, with the careful judging of our art teachers, here are the winners! Spookiest category: first place goes to Kaori, second place to Kelcie, and third place to Reagan! In the most creative category, Calie came in first place, Maya is in second place, and Brennan came in third place. In the next category, Pixar, Lauren took first place, second place to Thomas, and Maria in third! For the winners of the spooky story contest, our judges had to sift through over 100 creepy crawly submissions! In first place was Mia, second place was Calina, and Alayna took third place!
