Highland's students had Christmas spirit! The Ugly Sweaters Unite event was one of the most joyful affairs that captured the students' Christmas spirit. The occasion took place in the Library Courtyard during lunch on Friday, December 18, 2021. Christmas decorations were placed around the school, and music played in the background to foster a Christmas atmosphere. Students wore their unique handmade or store purchased ugly sweaters on the event day and participants received five spirit points plus a flavored candy cane if they showed off their sweaters. Students had a blast seeing all of their friends' sweaters and compared them with one another on who had the ugliest sweater of all. The Assembly Committee created a backdrop with the word "Ugly Sweater Unite" for students to take pictures in front of with their friends and favorite staff members. The pictures will help students and staff members remember this memorable event for a lifetime. Sophanara, Assembly Committee Chair
