Student Council Christmas Bonding 2025

The holiday spirit was officially in full swing as the Highlands Intermediate Student Council gathered for a night of pure festive magic and winter cheer at our 2025 Christmas Bonding celebration! The room turned into a cozy holiday village as we kicked off the evening with our highly anticipated Secret Santa exchange, unwrapping thoughtful gifts, sharing laughs, and spreading plenty of merry cheer. To keep our energy high, we shared a massive holiday potluck packed with an incredible spread of delicious home-cooked dishes, favorite snacks, and festive treats brought in by everyone on the team. Next, the ultimate holiday engineering challenge began as we split up into different teams for an epic gingerbread house building competition. With classic holiday tunes playing in the background, frosting flew, gingerbread walls were stacked high, and creativity went completely through the roof as each group designed sweet architectural masterpieces packed with gumdrops, candy canes, and festive decorations. It was the perfect winter getaway to collaborate outside of our usual meetings, bond like a true holiday family, and strengthen our leadership team. Pearl City Christmas Parade 2025

The Pearl City Xmas Parade 2025 was a joyful event that brought the community together to celebrate the holiday season with excitement and cheer. As part of this annual tradition, various school clubs and organizations showcased their holiday spirit through lively marching, performances, and festive displays. This year, the parade began at Pearl City High School and continued along a route to the Pearl City Shopping Center. Highlands Intermediate School was proud to be part of the celebration, with our Student Council representing us with enthusiasm and discipline. Our students marched in strict formation, passed out candies to the crowd, and led cheers that filled the air with holiday joy. Their spirited participation helped spread warmth and happiness throughout the community. The Highlands group had an amazing time cheering, connecting with spectators, and soaking in the holiday spirit all around. The parade was not only a display of school pride but also a heartwarming reminder of the importance of community, friendship, and sharing joy during the holiday season. Christmas Spirit Week 2024: White Christmas Snowball Fight!

Can you think of a better way to start the Winter season than with a snowball fight?! The Athletics Committee hosted a fun-filled event for a white-out day dress up. The seven teams competed against each other in the Student Council Room on Wednesday 12/18 @ Lunch. All teams were armed with inflatable candy canes and palm trees and most importantly, a lot of snowballs! The energy in the air was electric, with laughter throughout the room as snowballs and palm trees being thrown everywhere! Christmas Spirit Week 2024: Ugly Christmas Sweater Photo Booth

The holiday season has arrived and the weather has been getting a little chillier day by day, hasn’t it? To help keep everyone nice and warm, the Assembly Committee hosted the Ugly Christmas Sweater Photo Booth at the Student Council Room for students to dress up and show off their favorite ugly sweater with their besties! With Christmas music blasting loudly everyone hammed it up in front of the camera and they were rewarded with prizes for everyone who participated. It was so fun to see everyone’s funny poses in their ugly sweaters ;) This activity was the absolute perfect way to capture the moment of this special holiday season and also spend time with those they love. - Lyric Esperanza , Assembly Committee
