Love is in the air at Highlands Intermediate School! This year, Student Government put together an activity called Secret Valentine’s for the students at Highlands and it was a huge hit! This activity allowed students to show their love for each other, platonic or romantic ;) Secret Valentine’s ran from March 8 to March 11, the week before Valentine’s Day. What a perfect activity to hype up the upcoming holiday AND lift the spirits up here at HIS! On March 8, Colts were able to buy gifts for one another and they could even keep it anonymous! These gifts included Valentines themed items like a variety of cute bears, squishies, sweet candies, sunglasses, and fresh roses. The line was SUPER DUPER LONG and it even lasted beyond the lunch period! And once the orders were in, Student Government worked very hard to make all of these orders from March 9 to March 10 and prepared for delivery on March 11. There were over 200 orders made and the suspense was real! Finally, the 11th came and all of Student Council helped out to deliver the gifts to every homeroom!
