Do you want to see a showcase of talents? Well, you’re in luck! This year, Highlands Intermediate was able to put on our first talent show back at school! Last year, those who auditioned for the talent show had to do their acts online at home, but not for this year’s Talent Show 2022! With acts ranging from a variety of singing, comedy, dancing, and even Kung fu, we put on an excellent show for the entire student body! This event was hosted by the lovely Assembly Committee, who’s work in planning, organizing, and planning made this entire thing possible! During the talent show, we had many students from different teams and grades participate, blowing us away with their skills! We had students playing piano, playing a ukulele, comedy, and more. Once all participants recorded their parts, they were sent off to our very special judges: the music teachers of Highlands Intermediate, Mr. Takemura, Mr. Lim, and Mr. Zhang! Then, everything was edited together into a beautiful dance of entertainment! Of course, our Talent Show included more than just our impressive students- our teachers participated too! Extra flair to the show was added by things like Ms. Izumigawa's new baby, teacher dancing, and club submissions. The entire thing was just so amazing! In first place: Jazmine from Team Alaka'i with her baton twirling!
In 2nd place: Isabella & Mia from Team Hui Mana'o, doing a duo performance with Isa’s ukulele and Mia’s singing the song "Like No One Does" by Jake Scott
In 3rd place: Rayna from Team Alaka'i with a high-energy K-Pop dance!
