Quarter 2 was definitely filled with lots of excitement but nothing compared to our first ever eSport: Madden! This was the first time Student Council hosted Madden as an eSport and boy was it a hit! If you didn’t know, Madden is the biggest sports game of all time with the very first iteration coming out way back in 1988. Now, in 2022 it’s bigger than ever and it showed every day of the big tournament! Students came from all around campus and filled the Student Council Room during grade level lunch to watch their friends compete for the title of Quarter 2 eSports Champion. 16 of each team’s best competitors paired up and battled it out on the virtual football field to find each team’s champion. At the Finals, the Student Council Room was packed with students cheering on their friends and teammates! In the end, the coveted Madden Championship Belt and a $50 GameStop gift card was awarded to the lucky pair of Diamnd & Cole from Team Alaka’i!!! Sophia, 8th Grade Secretary
