Q2 eSports: Madden 2026

The Student Council kept the esports momentum rolling this quarter with an absolutely phenomenal Madden NFL tournament. The Arcade Room was transformed into a miniature stadium, packed with flashing disco lights and echoing with the tactical shouts of players calling audibles and executing plays. In a thrilling 2v2 format, two-player duos from each team squared off in intense gridiron battles that required flawless communication and remarkable passing execution. When the digital dust settled, Jeremy and Josiah from Team Alaka‘i put on a dominant performance to capture first place, while Dylan and Boden from Team Laulē‘a secured a hard-fought second-place finish. eSports: Madden 2023

Our Q2 eSport featured the greatest sports game ever known - Madden 2022!  Players teamed up with a buddy for this 2v2 match up.  This ultimate football tournament took place in the StuCo Room during Grade Level Lunch. Team Champions were crowned each day.  We couldn't be more proud of our 2022 eSport: Madden School Champions from Team Kupono (Cody & Boston) 🏆 Congrats on winning 250 spirit points, $50 GameStop gift cards, Madden Champions Belts and, eternal glory 🏈🎉🤩

 

Q2 eSport 2022: Madden

Quarter 2 was definitely filled with lots of excitement but nothing compared to our first ever eSport: Madden! This was the first time Student Council hosted Madden as an eSport and boy was it a hit!  If you didn’t know, Madden is the biggest sports game of all time with the very first iteration coming out way back in 1988.  Now, in 2022 it’s bigger than ever and it showed every day of the big tournament!  Students came from all around campus and filled the Student Council Room during grade level lunch to watch their friends compete for the title of Quarter 2 eSports Champion.  16 of each team’s best competitors paired up and  battled it out on the virtual football field to find each team’s champion. At the Finals, the Student Council Room was packed with students cheering on their friends and teammates!  In the end, the coveted Madden Championship Belt and a $50 GameStop gift card was awarded to the lucky pair of Diamnd & Cole from Team Alaka’i!!! PCHS Pep Rally 2016

Who’s ready for Pearl City High School?! I know I am because of all the activities I am signing up for in the upcoming 16-17 sy! Today during Period 2, all 8th Graders went down to the cafeteria to see the PCHS Pep Rally and listened in on student athletes and varsity coaches describe all the activities we can join next year! The PCHS Pep Band kicked it all off with as we filed in making our little cafeteria sound like a gigantic, rocking stadium!  I can’t wait for high school! Football, basketball, soccer, air riflery, volleyball, paddle boarding, tennis, and water polo?!? All these activities sound so fun -- how can people not want to join?! But I got keep my grades up and stay in shape! Hope you J-O-I-N everything next year!! - Angela, Historian

PCHS Pep Rally 2015

The PCHS Pep Rally invited all HIS 8th Graders to the Cafeteria to help raise awareness about awesome sports program up the hill at Pearl City High School.  There were performances by the pep band and the PCHS Cheerleaders as well a speeches by coaches and student athletes!  Students were even able to sign up for the dozen or so Fall Sports that came down, right then and there!  I think the most important aspect of the PCHS Pep Rally was to give the incoming 9th graders (that's us!) a glimpse into the future, of being a high schooler *gulp*...
