Chicken Skin Tales 2018

Beware, as ghouls & ghost come alive on All Hallows’ Eve -- Hawaiian style! The Chicken Skin T  Tales 2018 event was held in the Library and featured our very special guest, the “Ghost Guy,” Lopaka Kapanui!!! In the span of our lunch period, Lopaka artfully and with so much suspense, told us 6 amazing ghost stories about Hawaii. His ghost tours are a staple of in the Islands and it was an absolute pleasure having him here to give our event the credibility and a 10 in the scare department! All 400 students in Library were screaming in terror tale, after each spooky tale told!!! Chicken Skin Tales came to a climax and Lopaka had all the students screaming, running out of the event and on to the last period of the day.... The event was an incredible success that left all of us Student Council members with a feeling of accomplishment and awe. We are so ready for our Highlands Haunted House 7 and all the great Halloween events to come -- bring it on!!!  - Chase, 8th Grade President

Ghost Hunting Workshop

Have you ever used a ghost hunting app?  If you are a brave soul, then maybe...but if you haven't and you wanted to know how to use it, this workshop would have been perfect for you! This Ghost Hunting Workshop was lead by Mr. Abuel and he told you everything you needed to know to be prepared for this year's most-anticipated event -- Highlands Haunted House 3: Ghost Adventures!  The workshop focused on 1 featured app for Android and Apple smart phones and tablets called "Ghost Radar."  This app is the most popular and most credible ghost hunting app available and Mr. Abuel explained all the features and how to use the device correctly in order to detect and measure paranormal activity. BE CAREFUL!  Probably the most important part of this workshop was that no one should tease or provoke the spirits!  Be respectful and ask serious questions, not silly ones.  By the end of the workshop everyone felt more comfortable in using the Ghost Radar app at this year's HH3: Ghost Adventures! to find out the mystery of the two boys that broke into the old haunted Metal Shop...but never came out!
