Tower Building, Paper Chains, activities big and small -- all full of fun, fun, fun! Highlands LeadershipWorkshop 2017 was a total success!!! From presentations to games, everyone had tons of learning fun with Mr.White, Mrs.Colmanares, Mr. Nomura, and Mrs. Blaney! All had something to offer to the Homeroom Representatives and the Highlands Student Council. Mrs. Blaney and Mr. Nomura challenged us to work as a team to complete some rigorous challenges, while Mrs.Colmanares and Mr.White provided us information to help us learn and grow as a whole to help the students have a voice at our school. It was an amazing, informative day that will help us make Highlands a better place to live and learn. It kind of makes me wonder what will be in store for next year's Highlands Leadership Workshop..... Aubrey, StuCo Historian

Full Council 2
Full Council 2 was a success! All of the Homeroom Representatives came down to the Student Council Room to share the concerns they collected from their individual homerooms. Each representative met up with the other representatives from their team to discuss and share their student concerns, school-wide concerns, and team concerns. Each team shared one poster paper and wrote down the most occurring concerns. Then, each team shared their poster with the whole Full Council, voicing their suggestions on making Highlands a better place for all of us to live and learn. Our very own Vice Principal, Mr. Battad attended so he could hear these important concerns from the students first-hand. He addressed many of the concerns immediately and assured all of us that the administration is doing everything they can to make Highlands the best it can possibly be! Taylor, SG Vice-President

Highlands Leadership Workshop 2016
The Highlands Leadership Workshop 2016 was crazy fun and fantastic learning experience for all 75 participants! Student Council members and Homeroom Representatives had tons of leadership and team building activities the entire day -- wow, everyone was worn out! Our two special facilitators were Mr. And Mrs. Laird who did an outstanding job of getting everyone to work together to accomplish the various challenges throughout the day. There was so much laughter and smiles at HLW16 -- we simply can't wait to do it all over again!! Lacey, Historian

Full Council Meeting 2015
Homeroom Representatives and Student Government Members come to our Full Council Meeting! Here in our Full Council Meeting we discussed problems at our school. They varied from needing AC’s due to the hot weather to needing better bathrooms. We recorded these concerns and shared them with our Principal, Mrs. Martinson, to see what she could do about it. We then shared the results of our meeting with the Homeroom Reps. Some concerns were actionable, some were not; regardless we are glad to be able to improve our school through our Full Council Meetings! Jade, StuCo Historian
