Leeward District Student Council 21-22
Student Council meets Student Council! On May 3rd from 2:30 - 5:30, our own student government attended the Leeward District Student Council (LDSC) for the first time in almost 2 years! That day after school, SG hopped in the back of Mr.White’s and took a trip to UH West Oahu. They had the opportunity to meet student councils from all across the Leeward District, high school, and middle school! How exciting! And while they did that, the advisors got to meet and talk about their school's student activities. LDSC kicked off with introductions from all the student participants, then everyone was split into groups for icebreaker activities. This gave everyone a chance to really get to know each other which brought us all closer! Later, everyone was responsible for sharing a few of their student activities and school concerns in these groups. All our student leaders were engaged and interested in the events at each school. Eventually, all groups got back together and shared as one whole. We ended off the LDSC meeting with the most delicious part, the food!! Normally, LDSC takes place every month in person, but SG was so grateful for the opportunity to attend our very first in person LDSC since COVID! Naomi, Student Government Secretary

Leeward District Student Council 19-20
LDSC stands for the ‘Leeward District Student Council’ and it’s a great way to seek new ideas and interact with other StuCo kids! It’s our job as Highlands Intermediate Student Government to head out once a month at Kapolei Middle School and meet with other student councils from all the district middle and high schools. We do lots of icebreakers and energizers and meet new people and talk about what goes on around our schools. It is really fun and enjoyable and we make incredible memories and hopefully make a difference when we get back to Highlands Intermediate! Darien, Student Government Treasurer

Leeward District Student Council 18-19
Leeward District Student Council, also known as LDSC, is an integral part to the Highlands Student Government and Student Council. Once a month, all the middle and high schools in the Leeward District share student activities and great ideas that happen in our schools. We learn from each other and we use what we learn to make our schools a better place. By sharing events and also school concerns, we learn new ways to improve our school and earn more student participation. I’m sure next year’s Student Government will have fun meeting such amazing people and sharing wonderful ideas ;) Diogne, SG Secretary

Leeward District Student Council 17-18
LDSC…. What could that possibly mean? Leeward District Student Council is a meeting where our Highlands Student Government attends every month and we meet up with representatives from the other middle and high schools in the Leeward District. There, we get to share what events we are planning and what we have done so far. We also talk about concerns that we have for our schools. By sharing events and concerns we can get great ideas on how to make school better and more fun! LDSC is also a way to see what the other schools are like, the different types of activities they do compared to Highlands, and see how problems are similar and different at each school. Even though we may go to different schools there actually is a lot of in common we do share. I can’t wait for the next LDSC and be able to find ways that we can make our school more engaging and more fun!! Skyla, Student Government Vice-President

LDSC (Leeward District Student Council)
LDSC is a meeting of all the Leeward District middle school student governments. Each school is to present their past activities of the month and upcoming activities for the next month to come. This is so the schools know what’s going on, and get ideas for their own school activities. They also share school wide concerns so that everyone can help with a possible solution. LDSC is a great opportunity for the schools to help each other out and to bond with new friends ;) Britnee, Student Government Secretary
