Random Acts of Kindness Week

Hey, fellow wizards and witches! Random Acts of Kindness Week is here early...RAKW shouldn't be about just the unexpected surprises or the spirit points. RAKW is about giving and sharing heartfelt experiences and memories that hopefully last the whole year long. So, let's continue to be kind to everyone throughout the year and I promise it'll be the most magical year… Lacey, StuCo Historian

Farewell Lunch Activities 2016

Long lines, cups piled high with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, so sunny with the best tunes in the air! Pool animals, sunglasses, beach balls, leis, ice pops, and floats…. These items were being held or worn by students all over campus on the last Friday of the year this May 20th, 2016.  All the students had to do was stand in line and spin a wheel to win prizes -- everyone was a winner!!! Or, on the other side of the Library Courtyard students could turn in their completed Random Acts Of Kindness Week cards (with all 15 RAK acts signed) to get a cool ice cream sundae -- success was sweet, indeed! Random Acts of Kindness Week

Our 1st Annual Random Acts of Kindness Week was a hit! There were smiles all around as RAKW Cards were filled out in and outside of school. To kick-it off, we held a lunch booth on TUE 5/26 to have people make a card that has something written that is a positive message.  Throughout the week Bingo year cards were being signed as each random act of kindness was done. Also the cards were worth Spirit Points! The main intention of this activity was to promote a positive school environment, and make Highlamds a better place to learn. The activity also helped the students in social skills. So as the year winded down, the attitude of the school went up -- yay for us!!!  Although Random Acts of Kindness Week is over, just don't forget to smile today! :)  Erin, Spirit Committee
