Welcome Back Assembly 2018 "Welcome to Olympus!"

Welcome Back, Heroes!!!!!! The Welcome Back Assembly 2018 “Welcome to Olympus!” was thrilling and amazing! To get it started right, the Student Council stood in the doorways of the gym shouting cheers to all the student to pump them up for the biggest assembly of the year! To kickoff the assembly we had Thalia sing the “Star Spangled Banner” and Menine sung “Hawaii Pono’i.” After hearing their wonderful singing, Mr. Rabacal played ukulele and sang “This Is Me” from the movie, The Greatest Showman -- it was soooooo awesome! Next, the Highlands Student Council got introduced to the school with a dance to Bruno Mars’ “Gibberish.” After that, it was the new teachers’ turn!  After being introduced, they surprised everyone with the “Cupid Shuffle.” Taking it up several notches *hahahah*, dancers from Treasure Box Studios took to the floor with an amazing dance routine!!! The rest of the assembly was dedicated to kicking off the Highlands Spirit Competition through several games played between the 7 Highlands Teams: Poseidon’s Relay Race, Hermes Cup Challenge, Sword Balance, Sword Flip, Sword Tag, Sword Thief, and Chariot Race!  It was great to see both students and teachers participating with such spirit and skill… we just knew it was just the beginning of some amazing things to come!
