Why?
Blinding sun rays that once rid eyes from glaring
Suddenly dim and envelope the atmosphere so gently
Like the caring touch of a lover
Tenacious winds slow to a tranquil breeze,
As if any harsher it could break the fragility
Of that a being entranced by love itself.
Why?
Why is it so a condition
That whenever you seem to be around,
These dull and gloomy sights
Suddenly burst with vibrance and warmth?
Why is it that one can feel this way,
Is this what love is supposed to feel like?
Why?
If this is love, how can it be so sickening?
As if a disease that flabbergastingly
I do not wish to be cured of.
Why is it that even your very existence
Brings heat to my face and life to my heart?
Why?
It's that I am in love with you.
Love for your being, your care, your very actions.
You are the reason I know what love is like.
