PCHS Student Council Onboarding 2022

Who’s ready for the next school year? Oh wait, it hasn’t started yet. Still, for the upcoming student council members of Pearl City High School, planning for the upcoming school year has already begun! And who better to learn from then the students of Pearl City High School themselves? On Thursday, May 19, the Student Activities Coordinator of PCHS, Mr. Miyashiro, and two current Student Council officers took the trip down to the Highlands Intermediate Stuco room to talk to the upcoming members. Through the entire 8th grade lunch, they explained the roles and responsibilities that these students would be accepting, and gave them a glimpse of all the fun activities to come! This was a learning experience for all in attendance, and the upcoming members gained a newfound confidence and excitement. Colts, if you’re 8th grade year is soon coming to an end, don’t be sad! StuCo Onboarding 2019

According to NatStuCo.org, "Onboarding" is an extended mix of actions and activities designed to orient new members and assimilate them into their new roles as members of the student council.  This was the inaugural event that will hopefully help in the transition from the current student council to the next.  Here, the HiS StuCo 18-19 prepared all of their files and created a presentation to help the HIS StuCo 19-20 to understand their roles and their upcoming projects in the 19-20 school year.  The StuCo Onboarding 2019 was a complete success and we shall all reap the benefits next school year...
