Spirit Week 2025: Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday was full of energy and school spirit as everyone showed up dressed like it was the 2000s. The halls were packed with jorts, oversized jerseys, trucker hats, and backwards caps—it honestly felt like we had traveled back in time. Seeing everyone’s creative throwback outfits made the day even more exciting, and students were laughing, hyping each other up, and showing off their fits all day long. The activities made the celebration even better, especially the retro photo booth where friends snapped hilarious and unforgettable pictures together. From posing like early 2000s pop stars to recreating iconic trends, the photo booth was a huge hit. There were plenty of other fun activities happening throughout lunch, so there was never a dull moment. Throwback Thursday was an amazing part of Spirit Week 2025. It brought students together, boosted school spirit, and made the entire campus feel upbeat and connected. It’s definitely a day we won’t forget!Ryder Higgens, Leadership Class

Highlands Virtual Spirit Week 1

"Keep Calm and Carry On." Even through the sad, sometimes boring, moments of these unprecedented times we can still find hope. Even if we can’t see each other we can stay connected! We came up with a great idea to keep everyone’s spirits as high as possible with a Virtual Spirit Week full of activities and fun postings. This kept the students minds and imagination at their brightest and encouraged all students to join in through these times. To kick things off was Pajama Day where you had to wear your pajamas to home school. The second day was Talented Tuesday where you showed off any new talents picked up while in quarantine. Day 3 was Workout Wednesday where everyone showed how they were staying fit and in shape. The fourth day was Throwback Thursday which was all about past pictures with friends! And finally, we ended Virtual Spirit Week 1 with C-O-L-T-S Pride Friday which is self-explanatory ;). It was a really fun and exciting week for all!  Brayden, Assembly Committee
